More than half of high school students value working outside of Spain
Teaching in educational centers is only a step prior to the start in the world of work. A future that for many students is uncertain before so many options ahead. What do students want for themselves at the end of their academic careers? To this question has tried to answer the consultancy Circulo de Formación in the Hall of University Guidance UNITOUR.
A meeting where more than 27,000 students of all Spain. The data collected in UNITOUR show a majority trend among high school students in Spain: their work wanted is not in this country, but outside our borders. This work also indicates that not many of them would dare to open their own businesses.
Migrate to work
Among the more than 27,000 students who attended this event, those responsible for it chose a sample of 17,300 to develop this work about preferences for your future work. 54% of the students affirmed that they do not close the doors to the option of looking for a job outside of Spain once they complete their training. On the contrary, 21% affirm that they only value a job within the borders of this country.
In this study also appears a 33% who recognizes that they do not care where to work and who would move where necessary to get this job. Among those who would stay in Spain, 24% would like to remain in their own province and 22% would have no problem moving around the national territory.
By territories, Sevillian students are the most problems they present when looking for a job destination outside of Spain and 35% of them would like to remain in their province, followed by San Sebastian (34%) and Bilbao (31%). Tenerife is on the other side of the table, where 28% of students would like to develop their employment beyond the borders of this country.
The private sector, the most desired
This work also analyzed the labor preferences of the students regarding the sector they would like to join. 38% of the respondents answered that they would like a job in the private sector compared to 24% that they will seek to compete for a position in public administration. 26% value the option of opening their own business as a job and 11% would like to develop within an NGO.
By territories, Malaga are the most entrepreneurs from all of Spain, since 37% of the students of this province would like to start their own business in the future. The students of Tenerife, with 31%, and those of Seville, with 30%, are in third position. As for the public function, Córdoba is the province that presents a greater number of future opponents since 33% wish it. Zaragoza (30%) and Valladolid (29%) remain with the second and third place respectively.
