Law and ADE, the most attractive careers for new university students
The entrance exams to the university are finished and the registration process in the career desired. A path that will determine the future of students. Which are the most attractive for young people? What options are the most demands? According to Degree Advisor, Law and ADE are the most chosen by students who access this higher education.
A ranking where they also occupy an important place careers related to Health as Nursing, Medicine, and where the double degree of Psychology and Criminology has also risen several positions.
Interest in the area of health
Degree Advisor has collected data from a total of 7,000 students, at least 24% of them international. All of them have been offered information about the university offer, both in the public and in the private sphere, with the intention of offering guidance. A guide that aims to take into account the interest of students and the capabilities for this.
In order, these are the careers for which the students who made use of this tool of orientation: Administration and Business Management (ADE), Psychology, Nursing, Medicine, Law, Architecture, Early Childhood Education, the double degree in Law + ADE and the double degree in Criminology + Psychology.
As for the sectors of knowledge, the preferences of the students are distributed as follows: Health (16%), Law and Policies (14%), and Economy and Business (12%). On the other hand, Architecture and Design (4%) and Physical, Chemical and Geological Sciences (3%) are the least demanded options.
Medicine, the highest note
If the area of Health It is one of the most demanded by students, it is also one of those that presents a higher grade cut. This is revealed by the Ministry of Education, which highlights that the qualification needed to access the Medicine career is around an average of 13 points throughout the national territory. The University of Valencia with 12.86 and the Autonomous University of Madrid, with 12.84, are the centers that most demand the applicants of this degree.
However, according to the notes of specific centers and not the average, there are centers that request a score higher than 13 points out of 14. This is the case of the Complutense University of Madrid, which places the level required for a 13.55 access the double degree of Maths and physics, or 13.32 from the University of Seville.
How to choose career

In this sense two fronts are proposed as Nursing or Medicine, it depends on knowing which is best suited to their interests.
- Working market. Does the student expect to find work when they finish their higher education? The million dollar question, sometimes the decision can be altered by the job board. If what you want is a job at the end of these studies, gathering information about possible job opportunities is very important.
- Keep calm. Nerves do not lead anywhere, it is always better to be calm than to make a crazy decision because of the rush. The family must maintain its support to the student and advise him, never impose his criteria.
