The society is aware to fight against bullying
When there is a problem, it is necessary to become aware of it and to get everyone involved to fight against it. Among the issues that most concern today, the bullying It occupies a fairly high position. The silence with which the victims of bullying suffer these situations forces us to put in place tools with which to end it.
Luckily, it seems that Spanish society has become aware of this problem. This is indicated by the II Study on bullying and cyberbullying from the perspective of the affected children. This work carried out by the ANAR Foundation and the Mutua Madrileña Foundation reveals that the bullying is more visible than ever in this country, which allows society to realize this problem and can strive to implement more effective tools.
More registered cases
The information in this report is based on the number of calls received from the ANAR telephone number from which the victims of bullying are paid attention. During the past year 2016, this number received 1,207 requests of help related to cases of bullying, one in four of them related to new technologies.
"These data show that the ANAR Telephone is the resource used by victims of bullying, their families and schools to find a solution to the problem," he said. In recent years, society in Spain bullying has come to occupy a important place and the population has become more aware of this issue. Witnesses report more
Another test of the awareness that is taking the Spanish society bullying is the level of complaint made by witnesses. Between 51.8% and 51.1% The victims and their colleagues and friends confront the aggressors and inform the authorities of these cases. The data prior to this work were between 21.2 and 22.2%.
In recent years bullying has been done more visible and the victim no longer feels lonely. Currently, almost 96% of the people surveyed admit knowing the situation of those who suffer bullying, compared to 40.3% of the previous jobs. The directors of the educational centers also seem to better dominate what happens inside their classrooms.
The data from the previous study indicated that only one 3,9% of the directors of an educational center knew this situation within their classrooms. Currently, this percentage has increased to almost 75%. Although in the case of parents, the number of parents who know the reality of their children has gone from 5.2% to 20.6%. An advance that although it could be better, indicates an improvement in the awareness of the reality that bullying supposes.
