Approving ESO will no longer be necessary to obtain the degree
In recent months much has been talked about the possible changes that are expected in the field of Education. Revalidation and selectivity have taken the headlines, but the Government has taken new decisions in this field and outside these matters. In particular, the Ministry of Education has taken a step back in the royal decree that changes the system of obtaining the ESO degree.
This new change stipulates that from now on the students of this educational stage will not need a grade higher than five to obtain this title. Therefore, it will be possible to pass to Baccalaureate with a grade below approved and with up to two subjects suspended.
Waiting for the educational pact
Although it may seem a priori that it is easier to obtain the ESO degree, the fact is that this task is complicated a bit more for the students. students. Whereas before this academic stage could be overcome with up to three suspended subjects, now this number drops to two. Of course, the average grade of these students can be less than five and pass to Baccalaureate, as long as they have a maximum of two subjects not passed.
These suspended matters may not be Spanish Language and Literature, nor Mathematics. ESO students will not have to pass the famous one either revalidation to get this degree and to pass this level of education. It will be necessary to wait until reaching an educational pact so that these tests reach to have academic effects. In the same way, this decision on secondary education may also have changes at the moment in which the treatment in this governmental matter is achieved.
The situation of the revalidation
As has been said, the revalidation is another point that remains in the air waiting to reach an educational pact. These new tests are planned as necessary to obtain a degree and will be similar to the University Entrance Examinations, PAU. But there is not yet a model common to the entire Spanish territory since it is waiting for the Council of Rectors to decide a system that is similar in all the communities of Spain.
For now the grade that the student will have to access a university career will be weighted 40% of the grade obtained in the entrance exam and 60% the grade of the academic record. The note of both means will have to be superior to five and for now the revalidations remain in the air until the Government reaches the educational pact with which to establish a new Law in this field
That is, until the Government signs this education pact will be the PAU Those who decide if a student is qualified or not to start the career you are looking for. We will have to wait until this point to know what Spanish students have to do to get through the different stages of education.
