The Spanish Dream Society asks to advance prime time to ensure a good rest

These are ideal dream hours for ages

The sleep specialists are clear: for the child to work, he must rest and for that he has to go to the nurse on his own time. Delaying this time will only help the child not rest for as long as it should. Experts recommend this table according to the ages:

- Newborns (0-3 months), 14-17 h.

- Infants (4-11 months), 12-15 h.

- Young children (1-2 years), 11-14 h.

- Children of preschool age (3-5 years), 10-13 h.

- Children of school age (6-13 years), 9-11 h.

- Adolescents (14-17 years), 8-10 h.

- Adults (18-64 years), 7-9 h.

- Elderly (> 65 years), 7-8 h.

As these experts indicate, do not comply with these schedules and depriving the child's body of this dream is very harmful since in those cases the metabolic, endocrine and immune system is altered. Especially in children, whose bodies Are developing and they can suffer serious problems with long-term effects.


"Invade hours of sleep in this period so biologically active is a self-injury to our health as relevant as smoking," said the president of SES, Dr. Joaquín Terán-Santos, who asks the television a change in their schedules so that the child does not have to adapt his sleep schedule to the broadcast grill, but rather upside down.

Advance prime time and monitor what the child sees
