How to detect a fake toy
The expected moment arrives: Christmas, birthdays, a well-earned prize and the purchase of that toy what excitement does your son (or nephew, or grandchild) and, without realizing it, you have just been deceived: it is one of the thousands of articles false that are sold daily in Spain. How to detect them and not give us a pig in a poke?
The Spanish Consumption Agency (Asgeco) warns that 33% of the toys that are sold in our country are fakes. The problem with these products is greater than it may seem: "These are imitations that do not necessarily meet legally established safety standards," says this agency, under the Government of Spain, which warns that this is "a serious danger for the little ones ".

Asgeco explains that approved toys "are products that have passed mandatory quality controls and requirements concrete security ", all this has an objective: that the product we are going to buy our children" is composed of materials suitable for the safety and health of children. "

Keys to know that a toy is fake

- Have a container of optimum quality with a clear and defined impression. It must include a description of the company responsible for the manufacture of the product and its origin and marketing market.
- Include a graph of age or recommended age ranges for the use of the product.
- Include the "CE" marking, which represents the conformity of the product with the safety requirements established in the community legislation.
- Having rigid design standards, of materials used, of seams and terminations, avoiding those components with easy detachment and toxic paints, among others; -Include the label and the user manual in Spanish.
When suspect if a toy can be a fake
- That the product is visibly inferior in quality compared to the original.
- That the price of the toy is much lower which you observe in the rest of establishments.
- That the containers omit information about the country of origin, manufacturer, recommended age ranges.
- That the designs and colors are coarse and lack of detail.
- Lacking the labeling and the labels that accompany the original toys.
- That the article is not sold in points of sale and authorized stores.
- That include screws and easily removable parts.
- That the packaging presents a poor seal or a bad quality.
- That the raw materials have a low quality or deficiencies in their designs and terminations.
- That they combine designs, images, brands and colors of different licenses.
- That they present languages in the labeling that are different to Spanish, preventing the correct understanding of the information provided.
