The Family Watch reminds parties of the need for a pact for the family

The future of a country it depends on the legacy left to future generations. Preparing the future citizens from a young age will be the key to success. For this, not only a good teaching service is required, but also to help households in other matters such as conciliation that also encourages birth in the families of a nation.

This is what he asks The Family Watch to the different political parties in Spain: a pact for the family that helps Spanish households. This body requests that this agreement treat several points as they are work-life balance so that parents are not forced to choose between family work, and support for the birth rate to prevent the demographic crisis ending with an aging country and without generational relief.

Bet for the conciliation

For The Family Watch, an agreement is urgently needed in which more measures for labor conciliation are specified so that mothers do not have to to choose between your job or the education of your children. "Women, it seems incredible that they continue to happen, are doubly penalized for being mothers and workers, in many cases they are not allowed to reconcile, nor aspire to positions of relevance for being mothers," explains The Family Watch.

In addition this organism maintains that the conciliation, passes through "a clear bet around co-responsibility between men and women, a greater involvement of men is key. "As expressed by this entity in its statement in Spain, women now have a" double penalty "when they decide to become mothers, which means that many raise the birth rate and postpone this decision.

Danger for the population

The problems presented by the conciliation and the lack of support for the family will cause the Spanish population to remain aged and reduced. This will not only mean that there is less birth, but also bring other negative effects such as the unviability of pensions because having a larger number of elderly and less young will be more difficult to cope with these payments.

For this reason The Family Watch asks the parties to turn and look at the family situation to bet on measures that ensure stability within households so that they can cope with "short-term situations"To achieve this objective, a State Pact should be obtained that provides this security to the different nuclei of Spain.

The conciliation in Spain

According to the MásFamilia Foundation, 61% of companies do not include labor conciliation in their management. This shows that organizations seem more interested in providing reconciliation than in managing it.

This study also highlights that 65% of organizations include conciliation in their code or manual of conduct, while in 43 percent of cases this right is part of the dictionary of competencies and their evaluation systems.

This study also revealed that more than half of the companies that participated in the report they have implemented measures in the matter.

Specifically, these measures are of flexible schedule (91%), those related to children of employees (44%) and adaptation of days for professional development (71%).
