Back to school: how to go from suspense to outstanding and notable

"My son has two left for September, can he go back and start to get better grades in this course, can we help him?" It is a very typical thought in those parents whose children have not taken the previous course as well as you want. Given that question, the answer is clear: "Yes of course". Of course, we must start from the beginning, motivate, observe their difficulties, reflect on the family environment and above all, make him responsible and consistent their actions.

The new course, key to change the 'chip'

The new course is the best time for your son change the 'chip'. After having spent a summer almost without enjoying having to study the September exams, it is now when you realize that this course must tighten for, next summer, to be able to really have a great time without the pressure that in the next academic year they should improve their grades.

The study techniques are the key here. It is true that many times they are repeated over and over again, but they are not less real. If they are followed to the letter and you have willpower, turning the suspense into good grades will be possible.

Maybe you're one of the readers who think: "I know," or maybe not. In any case, print these keys and put them on the cork of your child's table, so that you remember both once the school year begins. In this way the return to school will mean to pass from the suspense to the remarkable and even the outstanding thanks to which he will have managed to surrender to the top.

Keys to achieve good grades

1. Dedicate a study time every day. Hour and half daily in the ESO and three hours in Baccalaureate, although they do not have duties. You can always review the lesson.

2. Set a fixed time. Getting a regularity in what hours of study is concerned will help the student to better organize their day and have time for everything.

3. The whole family working in the hours of study. This is to create study atmosphere in the house. Parents can take advantage to do things from home or work, little siblings "their duties" (coloring, trimming). If the siblings or the parents are watching TV, the radio is at full speed, the children playing * Then it seems that "the task" is a condemnation.

4. Have a fixed room to work. without a telephone, without a TV, without a computer, without a radio, well seated with a suitable table, you do not study in bed, or reclining in the low chair, the warm stretcher skirts ... since then you feel like everything but studying .

5. Order in the tasks: The external order, having the study table clean and clear, helps the internal order, when memorizing, understanding. In the study-work it is convenient to start with the subject of medium difficulty, it becomes more difficult and finally the least difficult.

6. Know each day what your children have to study and the exams. In the ESO, we must be very aware of their exams, their jobs, to be releasing rope in Baccalaureate.

7. That they do alone the homework. In ESO, you can do it alone! They should have started in 3rd grade. Only intervene when there is no other solution, make them reason.

8. Go to the private teacher as a last resort. For this, consult with the tutor. Children who get used to the private teacher, work less and are more distracted in class, "because the" teacher "at home explains it later"

9. Encourage the satisfaction of a job well done. Especially when they are a little "disasters", it makes them gain in self-esteem. If they have good grades one way to put their qualities at the service of others.

10. In class conflicts not always on the part of the teacher, nor always on behalf of our son. From the outset we must take the teacher as our main ally, taking their professionalism for granted. With the partners, it is best not to intervene directly, but to give our son enough tools, so that he knows how to develop

11. Do not magnify problems. Each course is different. There are good and not so good teachers, and it is very educational for our children to deal with all kinds of people.

12. Patience with conflicts within the home. The continuous confrontations between adolescent children and parents are just a pulse with which the adolescent seeks to set limits. We can not give in to his tantrums.

13. See your capabilities and ask what you can give. Outstanding, if you can get them out and goods, if it does not reach more. Promote the subject that is best given.
