In form: the benefits of aerobic work

There are many people who decide to better organize their schedule and take a few hours a week to play sports. Going to the gym falls within the good purposes for the New Year, but what is the most beneficial? For sports fans, as well as for those who start out in the exercise, aerobic work has many benefits to take care of health.

Some have a healthy sports hobby and just need to set their schedule. This is the case of fans of racquet sports such as tennis, paddle tennis, racquetball ... we can also mention those who love golf, cycling or racing. But what about those who look out for the first time at a gym?

Differences between aerobic work and anaerobic work

Fortunately, there are many gyms that have a sports technician who advises on those exercises that best suit our needs. But it may be that our needs do not know how to concretise them properly. In that case, "aerobic work" has enormous benefits and should be the most sought after component of regular training.

1. Aerobic work. We are working aerobically when our body's oxygen needs are well covered in the exercise we are doing. We have this feeling when we walk at a good pace, run slowly or ride a bicycle at slow or moderate speed. Your heart and your breathing are somewhat elevated, but you could keep that rhythm for a long time, you can even talk a little while doing that exercise.

2. Anaerobic work it occurs when increasing the intensity of the race, the speed on the bike, etc. In this case we will have the sensation of an acceleration of the heart rate and the respiratory rate. We can not talk as we did before and we also have the feeling of not being able to continue for a long time with such intensity in the exercise. At this time, the oxygen supply needs are greater and our cardiorespiratory system does not give life to cover these demands. We consume our energy source, glucose in this case, in the absence of oxygen. Thus, when increasing the intensity of the exercise we have to stop before because the body does not support such a rhythm. It is normal to have a feeling of heaviness and lack of oxygen.

Benefits of aerobic work

1. It improves the cardiac function.Moderate and prolonged rhythm that hypertrophies the walls of the myocardium. Stronger heart without subjecting it to excessive pulsations. We lower the pulsations and increase the cardiac volume.

2. Improvement of respiratory function. We mobilize more air in our lungs, increasing the tidal volume. We mobilize and burn triglycerides. We will consume fats when the exercise is prolonged.

3. It favors the return circulation. This type of work is ideal for people with circulation problems in the legs. The muscular contraction itself acts as a pump in the blood vessels of return.

4. Improves joint mobility without subjecting it to great tensions.

5. Improves the muscle tone of the legs. It is a very grateful type of work because you find the physical improvement with few training sessions, which produces a great motivation for the people who start.
