How to make a homemade piñata
Maybe a celebration at home, such as a birthday, a Communion or a Baptism, and we want to give it a special touch to amuse children with crafts. Without spending a lot of money and using a lot of imagination and industry, we can make a funny piñata that will make those who receive it laugh. It is very easy to do and children and their parents can participate in it.
Materials to make a homemade piñata
You need:
- Scissors
- Pinocchio paper: several folds of different colors to wrap the contents of the piñata without breaking.
- Scotch tape.
- Several meters of string.
- Content: Loose candies wrapped in paper. They should not be too big, to prevent children from hurting themselves when they fall. Lollipops, sugus and soft candies. Small details of plastic or cardboard like cars, whistles, masks and bracelets. Also worth small bags of worms, pipes, etc. Confetti, colored balloons (deflated, of course). How to make a homemade piñata step by step
We parents can do the piñata in the company of the children so that they learn to build it, and so the next time, they are the authors of this fun manual.
Spread two or three sheets of pinocho paper on the floor, making sure that the corners do not coincide. Put the contents of the piñata in the middle and tie the corners of the upper sheet. Do the same with the second and the third sheet. If there is a lot of weight, make two piñatas with this method and then build a cylinder with cardboard, where we can put both. The base of the cylinder is made with a circle of cardboard, and is fixed to the cardboard with insulating tape.
Decorate the piñata with pieces of cardboard, fringes of tissue paper, and whatever you can think of. With zeal you can stick many pinocho paper ribbons. One of them, however, must be tied to some of the objects inside the piñata and hang out of it, so that whoever pulls the ribbon will drop the contents of the piñata.
Tips for hanging the homemade piñata
To hang the piñata, a string must be used. If the piñata is the cardboard cylinder, you can pass it through some holes that need to be made in the upper part, while if the piñatas is smaller and only wrapped in pinocho paper, it will be enough to tie the knot and take a turn under the package.
Find an appropriate place to hang the piñata. It can be a ring on the roof or a rope that crosses the room. If you have a garden, the best thing is the branch of a tree * and if we do not have anything, one of the two parents can always get on a chair with the piñata in one hand.
Now it's the turn of the youngest: it's up to each of them to take a tape, get ready, and to the three ... throw away!
