Main measures of the Comprehensive Family Plan

The Government has approved the Comprehensive Family Support Plan (PIAF), just 10 days before the elections, through which 227 measures have been approved, many of them focused on women, to improve the situation of families in different areas.

The PIAF has been working for about two years with the participation of 9 Ministries and some family associations, consulted by the Government for its preparation.

Of all the measures that make up the Comprehensive Family Support Plan, stand out:

-More pension for mothers "who repeat": women who retire as of January 1, 2016 and have had two children will have a 5% more pension; with three children of 10% and with more than 15%.


-Recover hours to be able to reconcile: through a "bag of recoverable hours"The Executive proposes the promotion of greater flexibility in the organization of working hours to attend family needs punctual, and thus help in the conciliation.

-Large and single-parent families: measure already announced previously, large and single-parent families will benefit from a tax deduction of 1,200 euros.

-Help for pregnant women: the PIAF contemplates the orientation and social and health accompaniment to the pregnant minors and mothers in a postpartum and lactation situation who are in a situation of vulnerability or social risk. In addition, the aid also includes maternal and child residential care, education and child care and training for labor integration.


-Young mothers: the need to facilitate the access of single mothers with dependent minors in situation of social vulnerability, the rent within the framework of the Social Housing Fund, promoting promotion programs and education for sexual affective health. The Government wants to address together with the autonomous educational authorities the granting of scholarships or aid to young people with problems socioeconomic so that motherhood does not pose an obstacle when it comes to continuing with their studies.

-More presence of families: the plan foresees to include family perspective in all public policies, so that they are taken into account transversally in all areas and incorporate a impact analysis in the family in all legislative projects promoted by the Government.
