The reason for poor education among adolescents

Speak loudly in public places, disrespect the elders ... Why do young people nowadays no longer have a good education? In the first place, we must bear in mind that not all young people are badly educated; but it is no less true that the signs of bad behavior are not infrequent or rare: the way to address teachers, how to sit in class, how to dress ... Has good education in the family gone out of fashion?

Why does bad education prevail among teenagers?

Although it seems that the rude people do "funny" on television, the truth is that nobody wants to have one nearby. However, in addition to the media, there are other factors that have contributed to good manners in the doldrums:

- The importance towards good manners has been lost, and there is no emphasis on teaching them both at home and at school.

- Lack of listening time. Today there is more stress, we are constantly in a hurry and do not have time to help or listen.

- Bad example in the media. Many public figures behave rude and uncouth. They make many young people think that these behaviors are fashionable.

- Parents have become more permissive with the education of their children. Young people have grown accustomed to get what they want, to live with few limits, to believe themselves to be the center of the world. The spoiled children of yesterday are the rude young people of today.

- The new lifestyle, with new technologies, where you look for the immediate and fast, leads to neglect the forms.

- Influence of fashions where the chabacano is strengthened and normalized.

- Society and parents expect less and less from young people: Sometimes it is assumed that they are all rude.

- The bad example of many adults. For example, those who sneak into the queues are adults the vast majority of the time.

Good education: essential for coexistence

Manners are the customs and traditions of a society that govern how people treat each other and behave in social situations. Manners are expected to soften the brusqueness of the human condition. They maintain order, extend social values and sustain relationships between people in a positive way. We can imagine the chaos and pain that we would experience if everyone did what they wanted, whenever they wanted, and without taking into consideration the feelings and interests of others.

But who should teach what is not in the books? These elementary and mundane issues, which nonetheless have a considerable specific weight in the daily life of young people and in their relationship with others. It is necessary to have patience, act with sensitivity, be respectful with others, know how to sit correctly, refrain from chewing gum at certain times, know when to speak and how ... Activities that require many social skills. It does not matter if they are called urbanity, manners or good manners, the truth is that they are essential for coexistence. We are all human beings, but ... where do we learn to be an educated person?

Even you have to respect the competent authorities. Adults know it. Young people must learn it. The absence of order leads to chaos. And it would be good if the education that is given to children is reflected even in the smallest details.

Bad education: behaviors that no longer attract attention

What has happened to achieve a situation of normalization in the face of bad behavior?

- The vulgarity and bad education have normalized and no longer surprise anyone
- Young people have grown accustomed to get what they want, to live with few limits
- Lack of good manners is something that ends up damaging us

Nobody escapes that bad education has settled in society under the guise of "naturalness" and "being authentic." And if that were not enough, many consider politeness or good manners as something typical of the weak or corny.
