Seat León ST: family and resultón

The ST version of the family Lion conjugates the attributes of a car of practical use by capacity and performance, with a bodywork very attractive and sporty. During the month of December the family of the Seat Leon, when starting the sale of his last family version ST.

This is the first time that the León range has three different bodies, for all tastes and all needs: the body traditional five-door model, the novel Three-door SC sportier, and now, the ST of more functional character. All have the same identity trait in the design and at the same time they are different, because in Seat they have not done an adaptation work on a standard model, but they have developed a different image for each car, which makes it difficult to choose which one is more attractive.

The version that I have driven for the longest time has been the bodywork of three doors, - perhaps a priori the most striking - however, from a more rational point of view, I must say that the five-door ST is the most balanced in every way. It's one of the family cars most attractive in its segment. It has all the attributes to be functional for the use of the family that needs a spacious cabin and a lot of volume in the trunk, but with some strong sporting traits.

The ST measures 4.53 meters long -27 centimeters more than the version of five doors-, with a modular trunk, with a volume that starts from very generous ones 587 liters, which can be expanded as we knock down one or both backs of the rear bench, until reaching 1,470 liters. In addition, the trunk has a double bottom to distribute the load and carry the most common objects with more security. Inside there are hooks for hanging objects or bags, an elastic strap to hold luggage, rings on the floor and a 12-volt power outlet. If the buyer assumes that at some point you will need to carry long objects, up to 2.67 meters, you can request an option that It also allows to lower the support of the companion of the driver.

Four finishes

Since its launch, the Leon ST is available with four finishes: Emotion, Reference, Style and FR. From the input version, the standard equipment is very complete, of which we highlight the reparapinchazos kit, central locking with remote control with two folding keys and with trunk opening button, halogen headlights with function Coming Home, gear shift indicator, comfort front seats, height-adjustable driver's seat, front headrests, black roof bars, 12-volt outlet on the front, one-piece folding rear bench and cargo hooks in the boot.

These benefits are enriched in the upper completions up to the maximum in the Style version, with the XDS electronic self-locking device, Hill start assistant dual-zone climate control, fog lights with cornering function, Radio Media System Color (including five-inch color touch screen, Bluetooth connection, USB / Aux-in port, SD card, CD player and six speakers) and front and rear armrests, others.

The most sporting team in the FR has the rear Led's, Seat Driver Profile (which allows the driver to configure the characteristics of the power steering, accelerator pedal, gear change mode -only in DSG-, engine sound -only for the 180 hp 1.8 TSI engines and 184 hp 2.0 TDI CR- or multicolored ambient light in the front door panels, among others).

The offer of engines is already known, with five gasoline mechanics, from the 1.2 TSI with 86 and 105 horses, the 1.4 TSI of 122 and 140 horses and the highest 1.8 TSI of 180 horses. In diesel also have five options: 1.6 TDI CR of 90, 105 and 110 horses, and the powerful 2.0 TDI CR of 150 and 184 HP. In addition to the more efficient version the 1.6 TDI Ecomotive of 110 horses and a consumption of 3.3 liters per 100 km.
