When is a baby considered obese?

According to various studies on child nutrition, any child whose weight exceeds the average weight that would correspond to their height and age by 15 percent is considered obese. Small tricks to avoid obesity

In fact, the main trick and most effective of all, is to avoid certain unhealthy eating habits (consumption of food between meals, for example, and carefully control the fats and sweets that often consumes our little one every day.

Sugar, whether white or brown, refined or not, in the form of honey or syrups ... usually all children like it, but it is convenient to limit their consumption at home from the first day.
Similarly, choose foods prepared at home compared to those marketed, always too rich in sugar and fat.


Plan to attack childhood obesity

If our son is really plump, do not hesitate to start an attack plan. The cookies that accompany breakfast or snack or taken between meals, sweet desserts ... contain many supplementary and useless calories that the child's body stores as fat.

Substituting these habits for others will be as simple as offering the child a yogurt (without sugar) or a chopped apple when he can not contain his hunger. For the preparation of your meals choose cooked food versus fried or breaded. Sometimes we are the parents who introduce into the children certain dietary habits not recommended.

- Offer your child sugar-free foods since the first day. The child will not miss this kind of flavor.

- Chocolates, candy or cookies after hours. They can be undesirable eating habits.


- If you want to nibble something solid, give it before a bit of bread crust that a cookie or any other food made with sugar or honey.

- Monitor the weekly menu of the nursery school in order to adequately supplement your feeding at night.

- If you are thirsty, the healthiest is the water to drink. Avoid juices (except freshly squeezed at home) and soft drinks, as they have a high content of sugars.

The fact that a child is chubby depends to a large extent on their diet, but also on the amount of exercise they perform at the end of the day. Let's encourage our baby, therefore, to move and be active. In this way, it will be much easier for you to burn those calories that worry us so much.
