Plan with children: the Bus of Christmas

One more year, the Christmas Bus of the EMT is launched through the streets of downtown Madrid. The popularly known as Navibus offers children and adults a tour of the most emblematic roads of the capital, decorated with the typical Christmas lights, typical of this time, becoming an ideal plan to do as a family with the arrival of winter in the capital .

The already traditional and popular itinerary, which has become a must-see for Christmas in Madrid, will run from Thursday, December 5 until January 6, both inclusive. The City Council, through the Municipal Transportation Company, puts buses on two floors to cover this route, which will operate every day of this period, except on December 24 and 31, and January 5.


The schedules of the Navibús

On December 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22 and 29 and January 6, the Christmas Bus will be operational from 6 pm to 10 pm. The rest of the days, except those in which there is no service, the schedule will be from 18 to 23 hours, coinciding with the longest hourly duration of the Christmas lighting

Specifically, departure time of Navibus 2014 It is the following:

- Monday to Wednesday: from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- Thursday to Sunday: from 6 pm to 11 pm
- December 5 and 25: from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- January 1: from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Without service: December 24 and 31 and January 5.

The general price of the ticket is 2 euros, although, as in previous years, Minors can travel for free; the free rate will apply to children up to 7 years of age. In addition, those over 65 will pay a reduced rate of 1.5 euros.


The itinerary of the Navibus

The itinerary of the Navibus', as in previous editions, begins in Plaza de Colón (on Serrano Street, opposite number 30, next to the Discovery Gardens), and then continue along Serrano Street, Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square).
