Recover the routine of children after the summer

It takes more than two months without getting up early and with more flexible hours at bedtime. After more than 60 days of vacation, they are catch again the routine and we must prepare them so that returning to school is as smooth and easy as possible. To make the return to school not so abrupt for children, it should not be a break with the summer.

Recommendations to adapt the child to the new schedule

- Ideally, the routines have not been lost during the summer, although the schedules may have been more flexible than those of the school year.

- If this has not been the case, it is recommended that in the previous days you leave adjusting the schedules gradually, in this way, it will cost you less to rejoin and you will be less tired.

- Encourage them to lie down at a prudent hour, where you can complete the necessary 10 or 12 hours of rest, and that you go up at the same time you will have to do it on school days.

- It is convenient, so that it does not arrive with demotivation or without desire to the school, that review a little in the morning what I learned the previous year so that it does not go completely blank.

- It is advised that the first weekends of the return to school be used to go to the pool or to perform activities similar to those practiced in summer.

The first day of school of the child

If it is the first time the child is going to school, it is very important that the child become familiar with the environment, at least physical, I used days before. It is recommended that parents bring the child the days before the center, to make the route that will follow the next few days during their school year, so you can make contact with their new reality.

The child should know that the center is going to be a place of learning and that training is not the enemy of enjoyment. We must insist that learning will find new friends and perform incredible activities.

Adjust schedules to extracurricular activities

The day arrives to enroll children in extracurricular activities, whether physical, intellectual or creative, to enhance their development. The choice of activities has to be chosen with the child's dialogue and that the latter is satisfied and excited.

You have to take into account their interests, hobbies, their possibilities and their needs. Overloading the child can be counterproductive.
