How to make a collage magazine for children

A collage magazine can be a work of art, full of message and fun especially, when this manual is made by children. When you create a collage, you can easily say things without even talking. The collages are very simple and easy to make. These journals can be configured as personal value-added projects or as manual work of the school itself.

All you need to create a collage is paper, glue, scissors and clean images that serve to "explain" what the collage is trying to say.

The theme of collage is very important. To do this handicraft, it is essential to have an idea of the topic that we are going to discuss in the collage, which will help us to express ourselves clearly. Some examples of themes that can be treated in a collage are: the history of the world, the adventures or own experiences, of your family or your friends, or even a walk through the memories. Write your theme and start a brainstorm to illustrate your collage.

After launching your ideas and selecting your photographs, use the scissors to cut the images, words and phrases from magazines that match the theme or subtopic you want to address. You may need more than one old magazine, if you want to cover the entire poster. Remember that white should not be displayed.

Instructions for making a collage magazine for children

1. Select the most fun and representative photos you want to use.

2. Write a dirty script with the "news" you want to put in the magazine: a long one that occupies several pages and several short news.

Structure of the magazine 'collage'

The cover can bear the name of the author or authors and some phrases that make reference to the contents. You can start with an "editorial" at the beginning, which highlights the virtues and shortcomings in terms of humor of the person for whom it is the gift, for example. After, the long news followed by the short ones.

Making a collage magazine

Review the headlines of the journals looking for some that can be applied to the photos you have, or have any relationship with the person who will receive the magazine. If you can not find a "complete" headline, you can "build" one using several headlines. You can also cut out photos of magazines with people in similar situations or related to the photos in which the protagonist of your magazine appears.

Paste all the cutouts and photos with glue stick, write the texts, complete the pages with the markers drawing the corners, the titles of the sections and what you can think of.

Binding of the magazine 'collage'

Finally, if you want to make several copies because the magazine is addressed to several people, make photocopies and color them with markers. A transparent plastic folder that they sell in the stationery will be a great cover for the magazine.

Another way to present the work is to sew it. To do this, before starting the whole task, you should fold the folios in half and sort them as if they were the pages of a book. Once you have everything stuck and written, you separate the sheets and make the photocopies and then fold them in half all together. With the tip of a sharp pencil or a thick needle, you make little holes along the fold, and with a needle threaded, you pass the thread through the holes and you sew the magazine well.
