This will be the new professional training
The Government has approved the Royal Decree by which the contract for training and learning is developed and the foundations of dual vocational training (FP) are established.
It is adjective of "dual" because it combines the training in the centers with the practice in "ad hoc" companies. At a minimum, students of dual vocational training will spend a third of their time in companies.
These modalities do not end with traditional professional training, but enrich it. There are countries where dual FP works very well, such as Austria, Germany or Switzerland, and for decades.
In Spain, according to sources from the Ministry of Education, there are about 1,500 students who are already carrying out a "alternating" study model, with all the characteristics of dual FP. These students receive a remuneration ranging from two hundred to five hundred euros, paid in full by the companies. But it is not about labor contracts, and, therefore, companies do not pay social security for them.
