Five attitudes in children that you should not forget
Parents always want the best for our children, however there are times when we do not realize that certain attitudes These are not the most correct. Either because they seem funny to us or because we believe they will happen over time, we let them run thinking that they are not so important and that they do not matter. However there are some behaviors They should be watched as they can influence their personality.
Therefore we must be aware of some attitudes that although in the present may seem like a trifle, later on they can be an authentic problem. In this sense we will have to work hard to eliminate this behavior from his life and not leave everything in a small scolding.
Attitudes that you should not overlook
1- Interrupts when another person speaks. This attitude can end up turning our son into someone who does not know how to keep a conversation correctly or respect the talks of others. At the beginning it may be that he interrupts with a small joke that provokes laughter, but this only makes the child understand that he has the power to do it as many times as he wants and the same in the future is not so funny anymore.
2- Play aggressively. There are times when we see that the little ones react in the same way when they lose in a game or directly they miss their hand with their friends. From the first moment he has to be scolded for this behavior and not encourage this aggressive behavior. Just as you have to teach that toys have to be taken care of and not use them by throwing them to the ground or shaking them violently.
3- Adult jokes. At certain times the children make a joke that they have listened to adults or use a foul word thinking that this will be funny among the elderly. But under no circumstances should you laugh these thanks and you have to tell the child that what he has just done is wrong and that he will not get anyone to laugh at those jokes or using that vocabulary.
4- Does not maintain a schedule. It is very difficult to instill a routine in the little ones and sometimes when they start school we think that since the demand for work is less, they can afford to leave homework for the end and watch television or play before fulfilling the obligation , or simply alternate their tasks with leisure periods that do not respond to any logic. They should be taught to respect a schedule that will make them capable of organizing when the face of responsibility is greater.
5- They exaggerate the truth. It is one thing for them to have imagination and another that they do not tell things as they are. There are times when after returning from vacation or after doing an activity the little ones exaggerate the truth and include data that did not happen. Be careful with this attitude because if it is not remedied it can end up causing the child to become a compulsive liar.
How to eliminate these attitudes?
First of all you have to establish a dialogue with the child and make him understand that he is not acting correctly. Not a simple reprimand but talk seriously with them and make them understand that their way of acting has angered us and that they should remedy when before. In case there is no improvement on the part of the child, and this despite our warnings does the same, you can resort to small punishments as it is in the case of too aggressive games.
Always try to make the child that these attitudes will not lead you on the right path and make them understand that these behaviors can bring them problems In the future, for example, the lack of organization can cause them to be punished in school or that they can not take advantage of all the good time that they could play.
