One of the things you must prepare is the layette with everything necessary that the future mom and baby they will need in the hospital. We tell you what moms should take.
The basket: everything the mother needs
Both the mother and the newborn need few things in the maternity, although it is true that it is better to prepare the basket with the necessary objects at least one month before the probable date of delivery, since the birth can be overtaken and it is better to have everything ready and not worry at the moment of going to the hospital, when our thinking should be in something much more important: the birth of the baby
Not all women spend the same time in the hospital, since it depends on it the type of delivery and if there has been any kind of complication with the mother or the baby. As an orientation (since it is almost impossible to foresee complications), it is good to be informed about the expected time of hospital stay to prepare the things to be carried.
The basics are:
-1 or 2 nightgowns open at the front
-In the case of wanting to breastfeed the baby, better take a pair of nursing bras to be able to breastfeed without problems.
- Breastfeeding protective discs
-Disposable brushes
-Post-delivery pads
-A robe
-Comfortable shoes like being at home
-Socks
- "Street" clothes for the return home. The best thing is that it is easy to put on and take off (for possible discomfort), wide and comfortable
-Toilet bag: brush and toothpaste, gel and shampoo, comb, deodorant, moisturizer, etc.
- A bag for dirty clothes
-A strip postpartum (in case the doctor has previously advised)
