Poor child health influences behavior problems

The behavior of children is a key part of childhood education and is seen as a response to various stimuli. Until now, behavioral problems have always been observed and treated from a psychological and emotional point of view, but currently a recent study suggests that behind bad child behavior there may be a problem of poor health.

Symptoms of behavior problems in childhood

If your child is misbehaving, try to take care of their health, because that may be the main problem. Following an unhealthy diet with low consumption of fish, vegetables and fruits and a diet abundant in sugar, soft drinks and snacks, as well as sleeping little, at least half an hour less than advisable, are symptoms that help to know why a Child has a difficult behavior to counteract.

These are the conclusions of the "Época Study", which has analyzed 1,000 children between 6 and 12 years old, and in which more than 200 pediatricians have participated. In order to advise these specialists in pediatrics, this analysis aimed to study children with behavioral problems and assess their health and quality of life, both affected children and their families. Among their conclusions, the study revealed that 50 percent of the family members of children suffered mood disorders such as sadness or anxiety.

Thus, 2.2 percent of children have some of these behavioral problems, and 1 per cieneto some mental disorder, according to the latest National Health Survey. However, many of the questions from parents and caregivers to these 200 pediatricians refer to children who do not suffer from any specific pathology, but who have inadequate actions such as lack of attention and concentration. In addition, they have a harder time learning things and suffer from nervousness or hyperactivity.

Omega 3 to maintain a correct brain function

When seeing these cases, 74.8 percent of the pediatricians, to improve that bad behavior, gave advice focused on a change of habits, and in some of those they advised to go to the psychologist or they were prescribed some food supplement rich in fatty acids omega 3 (to maintain correct brain function), or a combination of these measures. Adopting them, especially when combined with nutritional supplements, reduced the behavioral, emotional, and hyperactive behaviors that these children presented.
